I was in need of some CGing practice and came across *jadeedge's wonderful line art. I originally had no idea who this character was, but I colored it anyway.

Several hours and countless color changes later--I eventually looked her up and realized she didn't have blonde hair--the image and it's sort-of-a-bail-out background is complete. I need to do more backgrounds.

This being more of a practice, I wasn't afraid to explore a bit. I wanted to try my luck at a convincing translucent silk-like fabric for her clothes. I thought it would do *jadeedge's the most justice. I didn't make it TOO transparent, though, since I didn't want to stamp a Mature Content on this one.

Also, for reasons unknown, I don't think I've ever shaded a midsection before this. It was pretty difficult for me, and I even had to use several references to try and get it right. And, as always, I had some trouble with the hair, though it wasn't as horrible an experience than I had originally feared.
